The motherboard ties every component together, so the choice always starts from the CPU.
The socket must match
An AMD AM5 CPU will not fit an Intel LGA1700 board. Check the CPU socket first, then look for boards with the same socket.
The chipset decides the features
- B-series boards cover most builds.
- Check the number of RAM slots and the generation (DDR4 vs DDR5).
- Confirm the M.2 storage connectors you need.
The form factor must fit the case
